Installation Test: overview
Installation Test (Collaudo in the interface) is the Mative Cloud Things Connector module for installers. After mounting a GPS tracker on a vehicle, the installer opens the device, checks that it communicates, has GPS and mobile signal, is powered correctly, reads the ignition and can lock the engine, fills in the vehicle data and produces the test report in PDF.
It is designed for the phone: the installer uses it next to the vehicle, in the Mative Cloud TC - Mobile app. It also works in the browser.
How to open it
- Get your Account ID: contact us and we will enable the module for your installers.
- Open the Collaudi (tests) dashboard. In the app it is available from the dashboard list.
The module interface is in Italian. In this guide, labels are written as they appear on screen, followed by their English meaning in parentheses.

What a complete test looks like
- Find the device in the list and open it.
- Check the live data and wait for the automatic steps: communication, GPS, GSM and power.
- Switch the ignition on and off, and run Prova blocco (lock test).
- Fill in the vehicle data.
- Add notes, download the Verbale PDF (test report) and press Termina collaudo (finish test): the device appears as Collaudato (tested) in the list.
Commands and the lock test act on the real device installed on the vehicle. Use them only on the vehicle you are installing.
