Car Rental and CaRGOS: video course

The video course Autonoleggio e CaRGOS con Mative Cloud shows Car Rental, the Mative Cloud TC module for rental companies, from the counter to the follow-up cases. It has five lessons of two or three minutes each, about 13 minutes in all.

The lessons are in Italian. In the YouTube player you can turn on the automatic subtitles and translate them into English. The data shown in the videos is sample data.

Who it is for​

Rental companies that are evaluating Car Rental, and the people who will use it: the counter staff who write contracts and hand over the vehicles, the owner who sets up CaRGOS, and the office that follows damages, fines and cases.

The lessons​

1. The counter dashboard (2:46)​

Watch lesson 1. What the rental company sees first: contracts in progress, today's handovers and returns, the CaRGOS communications to send and the open cases. Then the contract list with filters and search, the fleet planning and the customer register.

2. A rental contract in 5 steps, with signature and OTP (2:40)​

Watch lesson 2. A contract from start to finish: the customer with identity document and driving licence, a vehicle free in the period, the price with the extras, the second driver and the signature on screen with an OTP code. When the contract is confirmed, the CaRGOS communication starts by itself.

3. Handover and return, with the km read from the device (2:11)​

Watch lesson 3. The handover with the odometer read from the device on board, the required photos, the existing damages and the checks. The return with the summary of km, fuel and proposed charges, up to the closing of the contract.

4. CaRGOS: automatic communication to the State Police (3:14)​

Watch lesson 4. Companies that rent motor vehicles must send the data of the renter and of the vehicle to CaRGOS, the platform of the Italian State Police (art. 17 of Decree-Law 113/2018). With Mative the communication starts by itself when the contract is confirmed. The lesson shows:

  • the check and the sending, with the transaction number;
  • a field rejected by CaRGOS;
  • the handover blocked until the sending succeeds;
  • an uncertain result, to check in Analisi Invii on the CaRGOS portal before sending again;
  • the settings: the agency credentials and the vehicle type for each category.

5. Damages, accidents, fines and cases (1:44)​

Watch lesson 5. From the impact detected by the device to the accident, the fine with the driver found from the active contract, the damages of the fleet and the cases arranged by status, with activities and timeline.
