Car Rental: overview
Car Rental (Autonoleggio in the interface) is the Mative Cloud Things Connector module for vehicle rental companies. It covers the whole life of a rental: the customer record, the contract with signature and OTP, the CaRGOS communication to the Italian State Police, the handover and the return of the vehicle with photos, and afterwards damages, accidents, fines and cases.
It works together with Fleet Monitoring: the vehicles are the ones of your fleet, and the data of the GPS trackers fills in the odometer at handover and return and reports impacts that happened during a rental.
How to open it
- Get your Account ID: contact us and we will enable the module for your company.
- On the Fleet Monitoring home page, click Autonoleggio in the buttons at the top.
If the module is not active for your company, the button opens a preview with the request for a demo.
The module interface is in Italian. In this guide, labels are written as they appear on screen, followed by their English meaning in parentheses.
Structure of the module
The menu on the left (a bar at the top on a smartphone) opens the sections of the module. Nuovo contratto (new contract) is always available under the menu.

Contract statuses
A contract moves through five steps, shown at the top of its detail:

| Confermato (confirmed) | Signed by the customer; the vehicle is booked |
| Consegnato / In corso (handed over, in progress) | The vehicle has been handed over to the customer |
| Rientrato (returned) | The vehicle is back; the contract still has to be closed |
| Chiuso (closed) | Contract closed, with the final charges |
A contract can also be Annullato (cancelled) before the handover.
CaRGOS communication
Rental companies must send the data of the customer and of the vehicle to CaRGOS, the service of the Italian State Police, before the vehicle is handed over. The module sends the communication automatically when the contract is confirmed, and shows its status on every contract:

Roles
Each user of the module has one of four roles, set by the owner in Impostazioni:
